Match Engine
How many times your winger has shot the ball from an impossible angle? The match engine needs to be upgraded to be more realistic, many players make a lot of bad decisions that are not based on the attribute, they are more based on the match engine.
AI Manager IQ
AI Managers in Football Manager need to be smarter, many times we face the same tactics every matchday, which is not providing a challenge and is not exciting to play because we have to face the same tactics all the time. Also, AI Managers in the big clubs are buying a lot of useless players while they already have many players in the same position, this also needs overhauling.

Set Pieces
Set Pieces in football have evolved tremendously in recent years, set pieces became more of a game for itself as we have players blocking opponents for other players and different movement routines. Set pieces for defending based teams can be a crucial part of the game as they can make the most of every chance they can possibly get. Set pieces are one of the features that are hard to implement into the game as they can be very overpowered if not implemented correctly.
New Staff Roles
We got some new staff roles in the past Football Manager releases so new staff roles is a realistic request to make. Football physique is evolving rapidly, clubs all over the world start to treat players physique as fundamental for their performance on matchday. Personal coaches, nutritionists and set pieces coaches are a few new roles that were introduced in recent years and could be a great addition for the game.

Tactics
Tactics are one of the most important things in Football Manager, if not the most important, good tactics give you wins. Many tactics are very hard to recreate in Football Manager and sometimes even impossible. FM should give the managers the ability to set different formations while attacking and defending. Nowadays, teams attack and defend in different formations in order to make the game harder for the opposition.
3D Graphics
This topic can be controversial. Football Manager is a favourite game by many people because of the ability to run the game on low-end PCs and laptops. Upgrading the graphics will make the game more enjoyable and realistic for people with good computers, but with a cost of losing people with bad computers. The 3D graphics that are in the game right now are just not realistic or enjoyable to watch. The animations of the players need to be upgraded as well, some of the animations, like player collisions, look very bad. 3D Graphics can be very hard to upgrade but certainly will make the game bring more players and more enjoyable experience.
