How will your PC handle FM26?
A better starting point for your FM save
Your CPU and memory shape the size of save you can comfortably try. Your graphics card handles the 3D matchday, while an SSD helps with loading and saving. The rating brings those parts together and gives you settings to start with.
Build around the leagues you follow
Load the active divisions you need first. A larger database and more matches simulated in full detail can add work even when the league count stays the same. Treat the suggested range as a starting point.
Adjust graphics separately
If the matchday stutters, lower effects or resolution. If processing between days is slow, try a smaller save. A stronger graphics card does not automatically process transfers and competitions faster.
Check the installation requirements too
FM26 lists 4 GB RAM as its minimum, 12 GB RAM as recommended and 20 GB free storage. Windows and Mac have separate OS, CPU and graphics requirements. The four-field rater does not inspect your operating system, drivers or free space. Check the official requirements.
Quick answers
What does the score mean?
It is an indicative FM Blog hardware rating out of 100. CPU estimates use reviewed FM26 community results where available; other CPU models and graphics use editorial estimates. RAM and storage also contribute. It is not a benchmark of your device, an FPS figure or a ranking against other players.
What if my CPU or graphics card is missing?
Enter the full model name and check the suggestions. If it is not in the catalogue, the tool leaves it unscored. Selecting a different model would give you an unreliable result.
Can I use integrated graphics?
Some integrated GPUs meet the published requirements. Choose the exact model or Apple chip family, and start with the suggested graphics settings. Shared memory and driver support can affect the experience.
Is the suggested league count a limit?
No. It is a conservative starting range. Database size, full-detail matches, save age and your tolerance for waiting all affect the number of leagues you may want to run.
Rating details and sources
The rating combines CPU 50%, graphics 25%, RAM 20% and storage 5%, with caps for weaker hardware or limited RAM. It uses an editorial hardware scale. CPU estimates are adjusted where the reviewed FM26 sample has a matching model, with a limited influence for small samples.
We reviewed 38 submitted systems in the community FM26 benchmark table linked from Brother Ben’s benchmark thread. The CPU adjustment uses 32 submissions covering 27 CPU models with usable light and detailed test results. Six entries were excluded because of incomplete results, unclear configuration details or an unsupported platform entry. These are submitted systems with different cooling, memory and software, not controlled CPU-only tests. They do not establish GPU frame rates or validate predictions for other hardware.
League ranges remain starting suggestions based on CPU and RAM. Graphics settings use GPU estimates. NVMe storage does not increase the suggested league count. Apple chip-family entries use conservative graphics estimates. Unknown hardware stays unscored.
Hardware names were expanded from manufacturer catalogues and specifications, including Intel, AMD, NVIDIA desktop and laptop specifications. Specifications confirm model identity, not the accuracy of our performance estimates. See the official FM26 requirements for installation support.
