Discover FM24's fastest players available for realistic transfers – from elite
sprinters to budget speedsters.
We’ve all been there in Football Manager – moments when raw pace changes the game. But let’s be honest: signing Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Ousmane Dembélé, Kyle Walker or Achraf Hakimi just isn’t happening unless you’re managing the likes of PSG, Man City or Real Madrid.
So I’ve done the dirty work. Forget the unattainable. Here’s your ultimate list of 10 ridiculously fast players you can actually sign – whether you’re running a Champions League contender or building something special in the lower leagues.
1. Alphonso Davies – Bayern Munich
Yes, he’s the priciest on this list – but if you manage a top club with funds, you simply must try for Davies. His speed makes him lethal as a complete wing-back bombing down the left. Add his flair, work rate and stamina, and you’ve got a 90-minute nightmare for any right winger.
Pro Tip: If you can't afford him straight away, scout his contract situation closely – you might get a bargain closer to expiry.
2. Karim Adeyemi – Borussia Dortmund
Another elite player, but still easier to poach than Mbappé. Adeyemi is terrifying on the break and fits perfectly as an inside forward or wide striker. His off-the-ball movement and finishing make him a counter-attacking dream.
Warning: Expect competition from Premier League clubs, so move early.
3. Festy Ebosele – Udinese
If you're a mid-table team or building a long-term project, Festy is the right-back for you. He's raw, aggressive and absolutely rockets up and down the flank. Think of him as a budget Frimpong with more room to develop.
Tactical Fit: Wing-Back (Attack) in a 5-3-2 or counter-attacking 4-4-2.
4. Ricky-Jade Jones – Peterborough
You want lower-league speed? Say hello to your new cheat code. Ricky-Jade Jones is perfect for EFL saves. While his technicals need polishing, his speed alone causes chaos. Great as a Pressing Forward or super sub.
Tip: Loan him in early if funds are tight, then secure him on a cheap deal.
5. Thapelo Maseko – Sundowns
South African gem who’s ideal for Championship-level and up. Maseko is electric and fearless. He lacks composure, sure, but give him space and he'll wreck defenders. Bonus: work permit shouldn’t be an issue with international caps.
Use Case: Inside Forward on the left in a high pressing system.
6. Anthony Elanga – Nottingham Forest
Solid top-flight option. Elanga is agile, direct and has a high flair rating. Perfect for breaking defensive lines. His finishing and decision-making can be hit-or-miss, but he’s a menace with space.
Tactical Idea: Set him as Inside Forward (Attack) with PI to run at defence.
7. Galeno – FC Porto
One of the most fun wingers in the Portuguese league. Galeno is pacey, tricky and has that end-product some others lack. If you're managing in Spain, Italy or England, he’s an upgrade waiting to happen.
Warning: Porto usually play hardball on price – get creative with add-ons.
8. Jeremie Frimpong – Bayer 04 Leverkusen
The ultimate wing-back for high-intensity tactics. Frimpong combines elite speed with top dribbling and off-the-ball intelligence. He’s not cheap, but he’s worth every penny if you play attacking full-backs.
Side Note: One of the few defenders who regularly bags goals and assists.
9. Rabbi Matondo – Rangers
Matondo is another burner. Use him in Scottish saves or as a sneaky signing for mid-tier Premier League clubs. He’s got flair, technique, and raw speed that opens up deep-lying defences.
FM Tip: Set opposition instructions to isolate him 1v1 – he’ll roast most full-backs.
10. Brice Wembangomo – Bodø/Glimt
Scandinavian gold. Brice is affordable, consistent, and quick as hell. Great pickup for clubs looking to get value-for-money. Not flashy, but does the job brilliantly in modern full-back roles.
Hidden Gem Potential: Sign him early and flip him for £15M+ in two seasons.
Final Whistle: Speed Isn’t Everything – But It Sure Helps
If your team lacks spark, these lads will inject it. Whether you're flying high in the Champions League or slugging it out in League One, there's a speedster here for you.
