As a smaller club, you cannot really hold on to your best talent, so fattening them up ahead of sales is probably your best bet.

The problem you might face is that you have some pretty average goalkeepers, and most of your good defenders are more attack-minded full-backs like Max Aaron and Sam Byram.

In Teemu Pukki and Josh Sargent, you have two decent enough forwards, and in Milot Rashica and Cristos Tzolis you have two intriguing young wingers. However, given your defensive ‘stars’ include Grant Hanley, a second-tier stalwart, you should probably look to invest no defensive players.

You have enough goals in the team to frighten even the best clubs, but your Championship-level defence probably needs a bit of extra quality. This is where your funds should be spent, though you will not have much to throw around at The Canaries.
