Jones is regarded as one of the brightest talents in English football and has earned praise from several prominent pundits and managers. He is the youngest player since Robbie Fowler to score in a Merseyside derby. He is also the youngest player since Sterling to score in consecutive games for the reds.

Curtis Jones has had a sub par career in our Football Manager 2022 auto save. Initially remaining for the first 3 seasons at Liverpool, Jones never really was able to establish himself as a first-team regular at the club and was relegated to the bench more often.
A move to Newcastle in 2024-2025 did not change the fortunes for Jones and he
was once again relegated to the bench and was majorly given only substitute
appearances. He currently plays for Leeds where he is more of a first-team
regular and gets more game time. However, his lack of gametime during his
early years affected his growth and he is definitely not as good as he could
have been.
Despite being confined to a lot of substitute appearances, Jones has decent average ratings and has the ability to contribute with goals and assists when he plays. Considering that he is one of the best English wonderkids in the game, it is a no brainer to go for him if you are managing an English club.
