About the club
Hoffenheim are a professional football club that ply their trade in the Bundesliga. Originally founded in 1899 as a gymnastic club, Hoffenheim evolved into more of a football club in 1945.
Hoffenheim were only in the 5th tier of German football in 2000 and have
rapidly risen through the ranks under the backing of owner Dietmar Hopp who
has invested heavily into the club’s future.
