Wrong-Footed takers
If a player is either footed, set him to take corners on one side and go to your corner screen, if the delivery is in-swinging that’s perfect; if not, you’ll need to pick a different taker. This is absolutely crucial, and almost more important than a player’s corner rating. If it’s a choice between an in-swinging delivery from a player whose corner rating is 13 or an out-swinging delivery from a player whose corner rating is 15, pick the in-swinger every time.

Strikers to the far post
On a side note, if you find your near post headers aren’t hitting the target and you need someone to take advantage of knockdowns and rebounds, set an attacker with high bravery to lurk at the far post. They won’t attack the delivery, rather they’ll wait at the far post for a loose ball to fall in their general direction. In practice, I’ve found this can be anything in the six-yard box. High bravery is absolutely crucial here, he can’t be afraid to put his body on the line for the easy opportunity.

Best header to the near post
This sounds obvious, but you need to make sure it's the right player every time you set up your set-pieces. You need high jumping reach, aggression, bravery and heading, and ideally at least 185cm tall. This could be any of your defenders, a DM, a CM, it doesn’t really matter as long as it's not a striker. These positions aren’t usually marked so tightly by default and can escape the attentions of the opposition for an easy chance.
Final Thoughts
That’s really all there is to it. If you make sure to follow these steps, you’ll be scoring near post corners for fun, and you’ll finally see what all the fuss is about.
