Now the time has come to walk in the shoes of Agent 47 once again, recreating his journey in Football Manager.
The sequel to the popular stealth action game Hitman: Codename 47 (which was the subject of our first Hitman/FM challenge), Hitman: Silent Assassin, was released in 2002 and quickly became just as popular as its prequel.
We've already covered your manager creation in the first article; the only thing to add now is Italian as a second nationality or language (up to you which one), because after strangling a Romanian SWAT officer and escaping the Satu Mare Mental Institute, our bald assassin went into hiding in the Sicilian countryside, working as a gardener in a Catholic church.
After the events of Hitman: Codename 47, which brought us to Honk Kong, Colombia, Hungary, Holland, and Romania, Agent 47 went MIA and was presumed dead by the international underworld, only to resurface as a humble gardener at Father Emilio Vittorio's church in Gontranno, Sicily.
Mission 1
After Father Vittorio is kidnapped by mafia Don Giuseppe Guillani, Agent 47 comes out of hiding. While hunting down those responsible, he also takes up the job of a football manager. All 3 suggested clubs have a similar starting point in the Italian Serie C, so your goal here is to return as soon as possible to Serie A and to build enough reputation to be able to land your next job, which will be at a quite reputable club. This might take you a while, but be patient and enjoy bringing a Sicilian club to the top, once again. Winning the Serie A, or at least the Italian Cup, should be enough to complete this mission.
Mission 2
The Agency helped you in Italy, so it's time to repay the debt. Your new mission is to kill two ex-KGB generals and a Russian mobster in Sankt Petersburg. While you do that, take charge of Zenit and lead them to another national title, but remember, this is just a contract, so don't get too attached to the club.
Mission 3
In Silent Assassin, the next destination is Japan, but the country is not playable in FM22. Unless you want to install the J-League add-on and take charge of a new club while trying to eliminate the Japanese criminal mastermind and arms dealer, Masahiro Hayamoto, we'll skip this one and jump straight to Malaysia. Here, you have to kill a Malaysian hacker, but while you're at it, why not try your hand in managing a Malaysian Super League club? Once again, this is just a contract, so get a job, do your time, win the league (or not) and move on.
Mission 4
Once again, Silent Assassin takes us to a location unavailable in FM22, Afghanistan. We'll skip this too and go to your next destination, India. Although your Agency contract is in the Punjab region, there are no playable teams here, so any Indian club will do. Get the job, and stay in India until the job at your next destination opens up.
Mission 5
Back to St. Petersburg. The plot gets thicker. There's another bald assassin on the loose, Agent 17, your genetic brother. When the job at Zenit opens up again, take it and guide them once again to domestic glory. You might even get the chance to spend more seasons here this time as you wait for your next job to open up.
Mission 6
Redemption at Gontranno. It's time to go full circle and return to Sicily. Don't hesitate when the job at your first club opens up and take it. Kill Sergei Zavorotko, the Russian crime lord who masterminded the whole plot of Silent Assassin, rescue Father Vittorio, and in the meantime, bring back glory to your first club, which undoubtedly didn't enjoy much success in your absence. Winning the Serie A title once more will complete this challenge.
