Gladbach have won 5 Bundesliga titles, 2 DFB Pokals & 2 UEFA Cups. The
club faced a tumultuous time in the late ’90s and were eventually relegated in
1999. However, they have done well since and have managed to stay in the top
flight after their promotion.

Gladbach have good training facilities and a good youth system. However, you will need to work on improving these after you stabilize your position at the club.

Gladbach are a team that generally like to play on the counter. They like playing a fast tempo game, so a vertical tiki-taka is the best-suited system.
A 4-1-2-1-2 diamond is probably the best-suited formation to the available squad of players. This enables the players to play to their strengths.
A rough example of what your line-up would look like in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation is as follows,
Yann Sommer as a sweeper keeper.
Mathias Ginter & Nicolo Elvedi as the 2 centre backs playing as Ball Playing Defenders.
Valentino Lazzaro and Ramy Benseabaini as the 2 full backs. Increased crossing instructions are recommended.
Denis Zakaria, Christoph Kramer & Florian Neuhaus as the 3 central midfielders with Kramer playing as the defensive midfielder, Zakaria as a box to box midfielder and Neuhaus as a Mezzala.
Hannes Wolf as the attacking midfielder.
Marcus Thuram & Alasanne Plea as the 2 strikers with the former as a deep-lying forward and the latter as an Advanced Forward.
Alternatively, you can go with a 4-3-1-2 or a 4-3-3 by playing Embolo and Thuram out wide.
