Here's our pick of five undervalued, hidden gem players in Football Manager
2021 that can be a game-changer for your club.
That’s why if you are looking for some
undervalued stars, you might want to take a swing at the following five lads we consider hidden gems in FM21.
While not every club could afford or entice these players, they are five game-changers for clubs with genuine long-term ambition.
Holland is once again becoming a breeding ground for unique talent with great
price ranges, and the affordable Joey Veerman is one to focus on. He is valued
at around £4m in-game, and you might need to pay a premium to land him. Trust
us, though, when we say that he would be well worth the outlay.
The central midfielder can get involved in just about any position, but he’s a great all-around midfielder who can score goals.
Want a winger that can get to the byline and cut something back time and time
again? Then sign the young Brest winger himself. Valued at just £1.5m in-game,
you should have no problem tying him up for a similarish fee. Even at two to
three times that cost, though, Faivre is a fine signing.
At 22, some might fear he has missed the boat but not everyone makes good on every inch of their talent by their early teens.
Though he has now moved in real-life from the Colombian domestic league,
Venezuelan goalkeeper Wuilker Farinez looks destined for the top. He’s
affordable, too, and has just signed in France for RC Lens.
Despite being just 16 years of age, you could throw young Tiago into most
first teams and see him at least do a decent job. A young central defender
with no shortage of quality, he would make a good long-term investment.
The Chilean is currently playing in America with the Portland Timbers but is
valued at under £500,000. He’s a very good striker, and at 26 could easily
take another step up in quality in the near future. He has enjoyed a strong
career in Mexico, having played for the likes of Cruz Azul and UNAM.
While not every club could afford or entice these players, they are five game-changers for clubs with genuine long-term ambition.
Joey Veerman
The central midfielder can get involved in just about any position, but he’s a great all-around midfielder who can score goals.
Romain Faivre
At 22, some might fear he has missed the boat but not everyone makes good on every inch of their talent by their early teens.
Wuilker Farinez
He might be hard to get in the first 12 months, but even paying as much as
5-10x his initial value of just £800,000 makes him a no brainer. An athletic,
modern goalkeeper that you could build around with ease.
Tiago Aguiar
He is very affordable, too, as his contract at Vitoria Guimaraes offers the
Portuguese club little bargaining power with you. Definitely a player worth
digging into the biscuit tin to buy, even if he just as a long-term
prospect.
Felipe Mora
He might not be the perfect forward, but he has more than enough about him to
offer your team something else with his pace and his ability to stretch the
game.
