Season Expectations in FM19
Newcastle United are expected to be in the mid-table, not much is expected in the cup competitions.

There is very little room for manoeuvre in the transfer budget, but you do have 150,000 pounds in the wage budget.

Newcastle potential formation

Goalkeepers
Newcastle have an abundance of goalkeepers, Martin Dubravka is the one to start with, but Karl Darlow is not a bad replacement.

The squad also still has the experienced Rob Elliott and promising youngster Freddie Woodrum.
If you wish to generate extra funds, then you could sell off Elliott and Darlow thus freeing up 50K per week.
Woodrum would be a suitable bench warmer and could develop if given the cup games.
Defenders
The squad has three steady Premiership Central Defenders in Schar, Clark and Lascelles.

Yedlin is an excellent option for a wing back as he possesses high pace and acceleration stats.
Dummett is a reliable defensive option at left back.
Midfielders
Due to not being one of the favourites, it would be a very safe option to play with a defensive midfielder.
Depending on your style of play you could either play Diame, Ki Sung Yeung or Hayden.
Ki Sung Yeung is the least defensive but could give you a creative option in front of the back four.
Diame and Hayden are more solid defensive players so could be a safe bet when playing the stronger teams or away from home.
Jonjo Shelvey can play the role of a playmaker and has the stats to help you defensively.
Sean Longstaff is a promising young player who fits BBM and will develop if given game time.
Wingers
Matt Ritchie and Christain Atsu make great options for Newcastle's wingers.
Ritchie has a high work rate and would work well with Yedlin on the right.
Atsu has pace and acceleration giving you speed on both wings.
Ayoze Perez is making a suitable replacement on either wing or can play as an attacking midfielder in games you are favourites instead of the defensive midfielder.
Forwards
Salomon Rondon as your sole forward is an excellent target for your wingers to cross to.
He has good heading stats and jumping reach. He is on loan from West Borm and someone you will need to sign at the end of your first season.
After Rondon, there is a lack of Premier League quality up front.
This would be an area that needs strengthening in the transfer market.
FM19 Newcastle United Team Guide Conclusion
In Newcastle, the football team is the heart and soul of the community.
If you could bring success like the Keegan and Robson era's, I'm sure that stature would be built in your honour.
Newcastle is remembered for the team under Keegan that played with flair and a very attacking attitude.
If you can combine a successful side with attacking intent, you will be given the freedom of the city.
