Find out more about the Football Manager 2023 release date, the FM23 BETA or the FM2023 new features.
Although we do not know the official release date of Football Manager 2023 yet, it is fast approaching; with a release date set probably sometime in November, we can expect FM2023 BETA to be released two weeks before the official release date of the game.
When will Football Manager 2023 be released?
Since we do not have official info from Sports Interactive, or the gaffer Miles Jacobson, on the official date when FM23 will be released, the best thing we can do for now is to speculate on when the game will see the light of day.
For this, we will take a look at when we're the past editions of the game were released;
- Football Manager 2010 - October 30
- Football Manager 2011 - November 5
- Football Manager 2012 - October 21
- Football Manager 2013 - November 2
- Football Manager 2014 - October 31
- Football Manager 2015 - November 7
- Football Manager 2016 - November 13
- Football Manager 2017 - November 4
- Football Manager 2018 - November 10
- Football Manager 2019 - November 2
- Football Manager 2020 - November 19
- Football Manager 2021 - November 24
- Football Manager 2022 - November 9
So, notice how most of the last 12 editions of the game were released in early November (9), while only three editions were released in late October. Following this, we can surely say that FM23 will follow the same path. So we can either expect the game in late October or early November. Given that the COVID-19 situation has wined down, an earlier release date is expected.
When is the FM23 Beta release date?
FM2022's BETA version of the game was released two weeks before the official date, as with every other FM edition before it, so we can expect FM 23 BETA to be no exception to this rule.
What is FM23 Beta?
Football Manager 2023 Beta, or the Early Access edition of the game, is, to simply put it, a reward for the most loyal fans of the franchise who pre-order FM23 before its official release date.
No matter what time you pre-order the game, if it is before the release date, you will get instant access to the game's BETA version.
Also, don't let the name BETA fool you into thinking this is not a complete, finished version of the game because it is, well, 99% finished.
What makes it different from the full version of the game that will be released later is the number of bugs you might encounter during the gameplay.
Also, with the feedback from the players during the two-week BETA period, changes will be made to the club drafts that the game's developers might have overlooked as well as to other areas of the game, such as GUI, 3D match engine etc.
Once the full FM22 version is released, your BETA version of the game will update itself automatically the next time you open your Steam or Epic Store platform.
It's definitely worth pre-ordering the game as not only that you will play the game itself earlier, but also, you will grab a nice discount on your purchase.
FM2023 New Features and News
Football Manager 2022 brought us a host of brand new features, and we expect FM23 to bring another round of major upgrades.
Women's Football
Probably the biggest feature of the game will be the Women's football database, which will be integrated into the full version of the game, and will not be a standalone edition of the same. Although the women's database has been confirmed by studio director Miles Jacobson, we still do not know when it will be added. Football Manager 2023 was mooted as a potential point of arrival for the women's game, but we'll have to wait and see if that comes to fruition.
Enhanced Gameplay
Football Manager 2022 took things to a new level, and we expect FM23 to follow in its predecessor's footsteps.
In a recent interview with FM's gameplay development team over at the realsport101 website, we were told that FM22's gameplay improvements were only the start, so we are anticipating big things for Football Manager 2023.
Additional animations, refined player movements and a more aesthetically pleasing 3D view could take FM23 to the next level.
Either way, we're certain that Football Manager 2023's matchday experience will be better than ever.
Football Manager 2023 Price
Whilst no official price point is announced for Football Manager 2023, we expect the new release to remain at the same level as FM22.
FM22 cost £39.99 / $54.99 from the Epic Games or Steam stores, with 10% off for those who pre-purchase (taking it to £36.00 / $49.50).
We expect the same price for Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch.
We expect the Mobile version to cost £8.99 / $8.99.
