Squad, Formation and Tactical Style
Sevilla usually employ a good passing system and patiently wait for the chance to attack. However, they also have the ability to hit teams on the counter when needed. A vertical tiki-taka is the best tactic to go with for Sevilla
A 4-3-3 is how Sevilla line-up in real life and is probably the best-suited formation to the available squad of players. This also helps them to keep the midfield tight and allow the fullbacks to overlap and create chances. The formation will also work when playing on the counter-attacks where the central midfielders will become more defensive and compact.
A rough example of what your line-up would look like in a 4-3-3 formation is as follows;
Yaccine Bounou as the sweeper-keeper
Jules Kounde & Diego Carlos as the 2 central defenders. Both are comfortable on the ball and can be played as ball-playing defenders.
Jesus Navas and Marcos Acuna as the 2 attacking fullbacks/wingbacks. They need to have increased crossing instructions.
Ivan Rakitic as the defensive midfielder in a deep playmaker role, Oliver Torres as a Mezzala on support duty and Joan Jordan as a box to box midfielder make up the 3 man midfield.
Lucas Ocampos & Suso as the 2 wingers with Ocampos as an inside forward and Suso as an inverted winger.
Luuk De Jong as a lone striker in a deep-lying forward role.
Even though you need not tinker with the formation much there is the option of using players like Vidal, El Neysri & Munir from the bench or as rotation options.

Key Players
1. Marcos Acuna
Acuna is the replacement for Reguilon at left-back position for Sevilla. He is naturally very attacking and excels at taking set-pieces too.
2. Suso
The Spanish winger who recently joined the club from AC Milan is a very good option from the right side of the pitch. He is extremely good with the ball at his feet and has an eye for goal.
3. Lucas Ocampos
Ocampos set the league alight last season with 14 league goals all coming from the wings. His contributions and guile from the left will be crucial to having a good season.

Weaknesses
1. The defence is a concerning area for Sevilla. The quality of the backup Central defenders is definitely not up to standard and could see a lot of goals conceded if any injuries occur.
2. Even though Sevilla have an overall good squad, their competitors have a superior set of players and the target of a top 4 finish could be a hard battle to win.
3. You will be helpless if bigger clubs want to poach away your talent and could leave you with gaping holes in the squad.
Potential Transfers (in)
Sevilla’s defence needs serious bolstering. There could also be an additional attacking threat that the club could do with. Some of the names that could help are,
· Inigo Martinez
· Kenneth Omeruo
Potential Transfers (Out)
These players may be surplus to requirements at the club or may not be of the expected quality.
· Sergi Escudero
· Karim Rekik
Youth Prospects
There are a few exciting young prospects in the ranks or on loan who have the potential to be some of the best players in the league. A few examples are,
1. Jules Kounde
Kounde is one of the most improved players in the game (compared to FM 20) and with good reason. He has really stepped up for Sevilla and is already one of their key players in the squad who will only improve with time. He is also a threat from set-piece situations.
2. Alejandro Pozo
Currently, on loan at Eibar, the Spanish winger is soon expected to boost the Sevilla squad. His versatility is also an added bonus which makes it easy to fit him into most tactics.
3. Juanlu
Currently playing for the Sevilla u19s, Juanlu can become an excellent deep playmaker for the Sevilla side in the future. He will definitely be knocking on the door of the first-team squad in a couple of seasons.
