Romario Baro is a Portuguese wonderkid who plays as a midfielder for FC Porto. He is yet to represent Portugal at the senior level but has done so at several junior levels.

Baro is one of the best Portugese midfielder wonderkids in FM21. He is a very well rounded central midfielder who does not have many weaknesses.

Baro has had it extremely tough in the auto-generated save, initially struggling to break into the Porto squad. Several years of playing for the reserves has no doubt stagnated his growth, and he is nowhere close to where he would have been under a human manager. 

The AI manager has mostly relegated him to a rotational role, which lowered his confidence and dented his potential. Despite his shortfalls, Man City have purchased the youngster in 2026-2027, where he once again has been given a squad role rather than being a starter but has performed quite admirably.

His average ratings have been quite impressive throughout the 10-year autosave suggesting that Baro is quite a consistent player and, under the right circumstances, can be a valuable addition to any squad.
