Illan Meslier is a French fM21 wonderkid footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Leeds United in the premier league. He is yet to represent France at the senior level but has been a regular through several junior levels.

Meslier began playing football with his local club Merlevenez at the age of 6, and after a successful match against FC Lorient joined their academy. On 1 February 2018, he signed his first professional contract with Lorient who rejected bids from several big European clubs. 

In August 2019, Meslier joined Leeds on a season-long loan with the option to buy at the end of his loan. Initially, he started as a backup to Kiko Casilla but took over when he got a 7 match ban and hasn’t looked back since. Illan Meslier is one of the best wonderkid goalkeepers in FM2021 and will develop into an excellent shot-stopper in the game. He has very high technical attributes and well-rounded physical and mental attributes making him a good overall fit in any league for most teams.

In the auto-generated save, he has stayed with Leeds United for a few seasons before moving to Newcastle and then to Juventus. 

His performances for all his teams have been fairly consistent throughout and his average rating of around 7 (high for a keeper) is testament to his consistency. 

Although not a leader on the pitch, Meslier commands his box brilliantly and is able to smother crosses with great effect. I am sure that under a human manager he can develop into a much better player than in the autosave and will be an asset to any team that he joins.
