Rayan Cherki is a French Football Manager 2021 wonderkid who plays as a winger for Lyon in FM21. 

Although he is of Algerian descent and is eligible to play for the nation, he accepted the French u16 call-up.

He is regarded as one of the best young French talents out of Lyon. Cherki has made his Lyon debut aged just 16 on the back of scoring 4 goals in the 19-20 UEFA Youth League. 

He is the youngest ever goalscorer for Lyon and is the youngest player ever to play in the UEFA Champion’s league when he came on as a substitute against Bayern Munich. Despite his youth age, Cherki is very much a part of Lyon’s squad and their plans.

In the auto-generated save he has signed for Inter after a few decent seasons with Lyon. His spell at Inter was rather mixed and he has then made the switch to Man City for £54m. 

His growth has been stagnated as a result of Cherki being confined to the bench at both Inter and Man City but has slowly worked his way up to start games. 

His career stats are rather disappointing for a player of his calibre and he will certainly do better under a human manager, especially given more game time. He, however, has a respectable market value of £68m and has the attributes to be a star player for most league sides.

Cherki’s average ratings have also been a bit underwhelming at least initially in his career but is now in and around 7 meaning that he more than a decent choice on the left-wing. 

However, his performances will certainly be better under the right manager if he is given more game time and the opportunity to grow.
