Here's a list of the best strikers that you should definitely double-mark
in Football Manager 2021.
Few things in a Football Manager match-up can be quite as disheartening as an opposition striker going hot. When you need to sit there and watch your own number nine fluff chance after chance, it is even more disheartening to watch the opposition striker put chances away with utter precision. With Football Manager 2021 already upon us in beta form and en route in full, you might be waking up in cold sweats thinking about the inevitable.
We’ve all had to make quick changes in a bid to stop a striker bring down the apocalypse on our seasons. Who, then, might you be battening down the hatches and trying to stop in the 2021 edition of Football Manager?
Who should you be trying to do all that you can to stop them making your defence look like a bunch of undercooked amateurs?
(We’re going to leave out the obvious ones…you should already be adapting for Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku or Kylian Mbappe!)
Edin Dzeko
Forever a goalscoring machine within the FM database, 2021 looks to be one of his last hurrahs as a genuinely elite forward. The Bosnian will start 2020 out at as a 34-year-old, so he won’t be going for long. If you end up managing in Italy, though, you would be silly to come up against AS Roma and not adapt for his arrival on the pitch.
Because there are few players out there with the sublime quality that Dzeko brings to the table. He’s an adept finisher with both feet, from all angles, and in the air. Watch out for him – age is just a number for a man with his instincts.

Another player who you might take your eye off of. Alright, he was a bit of a
flop more or less anywhere outside of Vigo. And he might be 32. But in the
world of FM, his consistency and his unerring accuracy in front of goal can be
quite ridiculous at times.
If you are up against Celta de Vigo, where he will likely stay, expect him to be a thorn in your side. Don’t allow his age or lack of athleticism at 32 to put you off him or ignore him. This is a shark of a forward who needs to be watched and needs to be considered if you are a La Liga outfit yourself.
Iago Aspas

Andrea Belotti
He can dominate a centre-back pairing on his own and frequently pops up between defender and full-back. Definitely, a player to keep an eye on, as his hawkish movement and sniffing of chances makes him a nightmare to come up against.
Dusan Tadic
If you need a figurehead forward to build around for a few years, Tadic is worth breaking the bank for: even in his advancing years.
Duvan Zapata
If you need a forward to build the attack from and around, then Zapata has the physical means and the tactical smarts to take any team in Europe to the next level. Even the very elite teams could find that his unique blend of attributes could give them an extra edge, even as an alternative to their usual forward line. As a striker, though, you should absolutely make marking Zapata a priority if you find him up against you.
Fabio Silva
Fabio, though, promises to be one o the most intriguing young forwards in the game. An interesting blend of silk and steel, he can get around the forward line with ease and occupy defenders. Add in his natural technique and precise movement, and for a young lad, you would do well to occupy him accordingly.
