Liverpool's New Keeper - Loris Karius Quick Review

It's not secret that Liverpool have struggled in the goalkeeper department for some time. Current first choice Simon Mignolet is of course a good shot stopper but, when it comes to his catching and distribution, many believe he is still not good enough to represent The Reds.

Today's news that Liverpool are set to sign German goalkeeper Loris Karius from Mainz, is perhaps a sign that Jurgen Klopp has similar doubts over Mignolet.

So, as far as FM 2016 is concerned, is Karius any good?

Well, quite frankly, yes he is. Considering his age, and his already decent stats, Karius easily has the potential to be a better goalkeeper than Mignolet.

Attributes like Command of Area, Communication, and Handling all need improvement. However, when it comes to Reflexes, Rushing Out, and One on Ones, Karius is already well on his way to being a top keeper.

Perhaps not quite ready to replace Mignolet just yet but, given a season or so - maybe even a spell out on loan - and Karius most certainly looks like he could surpass the Belgian.

Thanks for reading and, until next time, enjoy playing FM!
