Here is our pick of 4 exciting teams to manage in the Premier League in
Football Manager 2021.
With the Football Manager 2021 release date around the corner, fans are eager to manage their favourite sides. However, managing some teams pose more of an interesting challenge to many managers. Here is our pick of 4 exciting teams to manage in the Premier League.
1. Chelsea
2019-2020 League Position: 4
Having spent over £200m in the summer transfer window and with no less than 7 new arrivals, it is fair to say that Chelsea have had one of their best transfer windows in many years. The recruitment of star players like Kai Havertz, Werner & Ziyech and reinforcements in defence in the form of Chilwell, Silva and Mendy, Chelsea have one of the most exciting squads in the league. Although it could take time for the signings to gel, it will definitely pose an interesting challenge, especially managing some of the best young players in the league. Although the board expectations are pretty high, they certainly have the financial power to back the manager and it will be right up the alley of veteran football managers to make Chelsea the most dominant force in the league.
2. Everton
Everton are a club experiencing major highs under Carlo Ancelotti and are currently sitting pretty at the top of the PL points table. This can be attributed to their players that have developed wonderfully over the last 2 seasons and a host of shrewd new signings looking to take the toffees to new heights. With the addition of players like James Rodriguez, Ben Godfrey, Abdoulaye Doucoure & Allan, Everton have reinforced their squad depth and are a strong contender to finish in the top 6. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has taken up the mantle of the teams lead striker and is expected to get a good stat boost in Football Manager 2021. With so many positives I’m sure many FM managers will be licking their lips to have a go with the Everton squad to see how far they can push themselves and the team.
3. Aston Villa
Aston Villa may have barely survived relegation by the skin of their teeth in the 2019-2019 season but their current tenure has gotten off to a very impressive start with their crowning achievement (so far) has been the demolition of current champions, Liverpool. Having spent close to £75m in the transfer market and even more importantly, holding on to key players like Jack Grealish has no doubt propelled Villa to aim higher this season. With a stat boost expected for players like Ollie Watkins, Jack Grealish, Tyrone Mings and Matty Cash Villa are no pushovers and could be one of the surprise packages in this season’s football manager. It will definitely be an enjoyable challenge for most FM21 managers to see how far they can push themselves with the Aston Villa squad and have a go at the top 6.
4. Leeds United
Newly promoted teams have clearly been one of the most exciting teams of the season with their scintillatingly fast football and fearless attitude. With the majority of the squad set to get a decent stat increase in FM 2021 and with a couple of shrewd buys, they are definitely one of the more exciting Football Manager 2021 teams to manage as well. However, there is an increased risk of player injuries and burnout with such a high tempo style of play and will pose challenges to even the most astute of Football Managers but I am sure plenty will want to give this a go.
