About Everton
Everton are an average mid-table team, they are fairly consistent and finish in the top half of the PL table almost always. Even in history, Everton hold the record for the most consecutive top-flight appearances (117).
However, Everton are trophyless since 1995 and are always in the shadow of
their more popular Merseyside rivals Liverpool. Can you as a manager take a
consistent mid table side like Everton to greater heights?
Considering that there have been heavy investments in recent years with the view of constructing an able squad, the board requirements are pretty lofty. The requirements once you take over will be;

1. A top 6 finish in the league (Automatic qualification to the Europa League)
2. Making the 5th round of the FA Cup.
3. Make the 4th round of the EFL Carabao Cup.
Additionally, you will be required to play possession-based attacking football which should be entertaining to the board and supporters. You will also be required to sign young players for the future and develop players using the club’s youth system. Everton have also been investing heavily in bringing better players to the club and are a club in debt.
Everton however do have decent training facilities and a good youth set up which will churn out the occasional gem. These are some of the areas that you need to develop right away once you take over as manager.

There are quite a few tactical setups you could deploy with Everton, however, a vertical tiki-taka of football for most home games and a fluid counter-attacking style for away games should be your go-to.

Allan & Abdoulaye Doucoure as the 2 central mids with the former as a ball-winning midfielder and the latter as a box to box midfielder.
Richarlison as an inverted winger from the left-wing and Theo Walcott as an attacking winger on the right.
James Rodriguez as the Attacking playmaker in a No:10 role.
Dominic Calvert Lewin as Pressing forward.
There are decent options for rotation from the bench, in the form of Andre Gomes & Bernard who could do a decent job when called upon.

James may have had a topsy turvy career but his quality in attack is
undeniable. His is one of the most creative players in the world and is a
master at set pieces which are incidentally Everton’s strength.
Digne’s crossing quality is second to none. The Frenchman is also a major threat with his precise corners and freekicks.
The young England international has improved massively in recent years and is
a major goal threat. He already has 11 league goals this season in real life
and can easily replicate his performances in the game.
The new signing from Napoli is one of the best destroyers in the league. His
mental stats are amongst the very best in the game and he has the ability to
stop attacks before even they get created.

1. You run the risk of some best talents being poached by bigger clubs.
2. The backup central defenders are not of high quality and may get run over if the starters pick up injuries.
3. Although Everton have a decent squad, the board requirements of an automatic Europa League spot maybe a bit too far with the available players.
There are a few exciting young prospects in the ranks who have the potential to be some of the best players in the league. A few examples are,
Already an important member of the first-team squad, Godfrey is a fast
defender who has the ability to become a star player at the club. He is also
an extremely composed passer able to play his way out of difficult
situations.
Although his first season at the club did not go according to plan, Kean who
is currently on loan at PSG remains one of the best attacking young players in
the game. He could be a goal machine for the club in the future.
Another central defender who is on the cusp of first-team chances, Branthwaite
is excellent in the air and is lethal from set-pieces. He could develop into
an important player for the club in the future.
