Inter tactic and team guide for Football Manager 2021. Club vision,
the tactic, key players, youth prospects and transfers in FM21.
Here is a brief analysis of the Inter squad, their club structure, relationship any potential managers will have with the board, expectations and possible tactics any FM 2021 manager can use with this fallen giant of Italian football.
About Inter
Internazionale or Inter Milan are a professional football club that ply their trade in the Serie A . They have the record of being the only Italian club to never have been relegated from the top flight.
Inter has won 30 domestic trophies, including 18 league titles, 7 Coppa Italia and 5 Supercoppa Italiana. From 2006 to 2010, the club won five successive league titles, equalling the all-time record at that time. They have won the Champions League three times: two back-to-back in 1964 and 1965 and then another in 2010. Their latest win completed an unprecedented Italian seasonal treble, with Inter winning the Coppa Italia and the Scudetto the same year. The club has also won three UEFA Cups, two Intercontinental Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup.
Inter's home games are played at the San Siro stadium, which they share with local rivals A.C. Milan. The stadium is the largest in Italian football with a capacity of 80,018. Matches between A.C. Milan and Inter, known as the Derby Della Madonnina, are one of the most followed derbies in football. As of 2019, Inter is the most supported team in Italy and the sixth most-supported in Europe. The club is one of the most valuable in Italian and world football.
Board Expectations
Inter are without a league title since 2010 and finished a close 2nd in the 2019-2020 season. Inter have qualified for the UCL as a result of finishing 2nd in the league. Should you take over as manager the board requirements will be,
1. Win the Serie A
2. Reach the final of the Italian Cup
3. Make the knockout stages of the UEFA Champion’s league.
Additionally, you will be required to sign high reputation players, especially Italian players from rivals. The focus is also on signing youngsters under the age of 19 for the future.
Inter have very good training facilities and a very good youth system that will churn out the occasional potential star player. You can rely on this to make the club achieve their targets and circumvent the FFP.
A fluid counter-attacking system or wing play is what suits the Inter’s set of players the best. This will help them take advantage of their wing-backs and have them released for quick counters. Their strikers also thrive on crosses from the wing-backs.
A 3-5-2 is how inter line up in real life is probably the best-suited formation for this squad of players. It also innately plays to the players' strengths of crossing and releasing the strikers early. Alternatively, you can use the 4-3-3 formation too.
A rough example of what your line-up would look like in a 3-5-2 formation is as follows,
2. Reach the final of the Italian Cup

A rough example of what your line-up would look like in a 3-5-2 formation is as follows,
Samir Handanovic as a sweeper keeper.
Stefan De Vrij, Andrea Bastoni & Milan Skriniar as the 3 centre backs, 2 of them can be played as Ball Playing Defenders.
Hakimi Achraf & Ivan Perisic as the 2 wing-backs. Both are naturally attacking players who love to get forward and contribute to attacks.
Nicolo Barella & Marcelo Brozovic as the 2 central midfielders with Barella playing a defensive playmaker role and Brozovic playing as a box to box midfielder who links attack and defence.
Christian Eriksen will be played as a No10 in an attacking midfielder role. Although he has not found great success in real life with Inter, he is still one of the better-attacking midfielders in the game.
Lautaro Martinez & Romelu Lukaku up front as the 2 strikers.
Alternatively, when you switch to a 4-3-3 you can go with Sanchez playing as one of the wingers.

clubs.
Achraf Hakimi
will already be a starter for most sides in the world and will only improve
given that he is just 21. He is easily the best right-back/right wing-back
