In this article, we'll take a closer look at which teams you should look to
manage in Australian A-League in Football Manager 2021.

The A-League has similarities with the USA’s MLS League and is based around a structure of salary caps and Designated Players. Players like Alessandro Del Piero, David Villa and Emile Heskey have taken this role.
This list will give you some ideas as to who do manage in this developing league.
Sydney FC
Although English poacher Adam Le Fondre is away on loan for the first few months of the season, Sydney FC still have a dynamic squad bristling with quality. In midfield, Sydney FC have class in the likes of Milos Ninkovich and Kosta Barbarouses who was signed from Melbourne Victory.

Western Sydney Wanderers

WSW are based in Parramatta in a gorgeous new stadium built in 2019. The Wanderers’ first match at Bankwest Stadium was a game against Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds.
There are some good players in the squad like Dylan MacGowan, Graham Dorrans and Nicolai Muller. The aim will be to get the Wanderers back to the top of the A-League while filling the new stadium.

Central Coast Mariners
The outsiders for the A-League are Central Coast Mariners. Known as the team with league’s smallest budget, the Mariners begin the game with a board expectation of finishing bottom of the league. Easy, right? Surely, you can do better than that.
The transfer and wage budgets are small. But the Mariners do have great youth and training facilities so there really is scope for upward progression.

The team is led by creative winger Daniel De Silva, Scottish fullback Ziggy Gordon, and Australian goalkeeper Mark Birighitti. While Joshua Nisbet looks to be a decent prospect coming through.
Western United
Western United are one the A-League’s newest teams as they joined the league in 2018. In their first season, the club finished in 5th place which was a good start.
Western United’s team is full of experience: 38-year-old New Zealand defender Andrew Durante is a leader at the back, while Besart Berisha scores goals up top. But, the key to the side is Western United’s diamond in midfield Alessandro Diamante.
