Here's an easy to do tip for all of my fellow football managers regarding having problems offloading high wage players. At least I discovered it a few days ago.
Having trouble trying to offload players with high wages that no one is willing to take or the one player that fails in negotiations with other teams?
How to Easily Offload High Wage Players in Football Manager
Here's the tip, go to a rich team, Paris Saint Germain, Man City, Chelsea etc. Select a random player from that team, lowest valued u18 player for example and then include the player you want to offload.
For example, Swansea's André Ayew on an 80k week pay (too much for my books), will be swapped for Man City youngster, Lewis Thomas, that isn't going to become anything.
First you'll need to make a transfer offer for the player that you want your player with high wage to be exchanged. You can do so by navigating to players profile > 'Transfer' > 'Make an Offer', this will bring up the transfer offer screen.
In the transfer offer screen under 'Additional Fees' window click'+ADD > 'Players To Exchange', this will add players to exchange option, with which we will offload our unwanted player.

Your player could be already transfer list so simple add him to the transfer offer from the menu, or in case that he isn't transfer listed click Add Player > 'Other Player From Squad' navigate to player profile and hit 'Exchange Player'.

Offer made to Man City and accepted.

Boom 75.5k wages saved. Lewis Thomas contract is only £475 p/w!

Warm welcome for Ayew 😨 |
Cheesy and unrealistic some may say, but it's your choice.
