Career history stats
Emre Can due to his position versatility is a truly useful addition to any Football Manager 2014 team. His primary position in which he feels natural is a Defensive Midfielder one, but as it would take to much to mention positions he can play in, well just mention the three he is ineffectual, Midfielder Right, Attacking Midfielder Right and a Striker position. All other positions range from natural to competent.
At the start of the game we rated him as a decent signing for most Sky Bet Championship sides. But don't get us wrong, he still has fairly good developed set of attributes needed for a quality defensive midfielder in a deep lying playmaker duty. Only thing that bugs is is his low Teamwork attribute (9), which is by the way his weakest are of the game. All other attributes are on place, and fairly good developed for a player at his age.
Once fully developed and at the age of 28, Emre truly looks as one of the finest defensive midfielders in FM 2014. Not only that, but he managed to become a natural in the defender left position and has added few more preferred moves to his repertoire. His teamwork is still below the average (11), but it should be no major concern. Great development that earned him transfers to European giants as Bayern and later on Barcelona.
Trying to sign him might get a mission impossible in the first season of the game. As he has just sign for Bayer Leverkusen from Bayern, and is not interested into making any further transfers. Your best bet should be trying to sign him from Leverkusen two season into the game, and this will cost you somewhere around £6M. Bargain price for such young potential.
Emre Can is a must buy player in Football Manager 2014, not only due to his attributes, but mainly to his position versatility, he can be your starter or a solid substitute player at almost any position.
