Money and competition
Ambition and opportunity
A good thing about this FM21 challenge is that most of the chairmen in this league want to see success now. They want to see you progressing fast, and they want to see you getting a hell of a lot done on the list of objectives.
You’ll be expected to meet every metric pretty fast or fast yourself looking for a new job. This is a high stakes league where you don’t get an awful lot of time for yourself, so you need to settle fast and start making crucial decisions at breakneck speed overall.
Aggressive, pressing football
Given most of the teams in the league have a few absolutely fantastic players, you need to be wary of any competitor. Most teams look to play front-foot football, where you can often exploit the comparatively poor defences in the league.
However, the pressing and attacking nature of football means that many high scoring games will be waiting for you. There is ample opportunity to play aggressively here, and this does create a lot of games which are breathless as outstanding attacks overpower domestic defences and create games that are often won by their superstar contingent.
Domestic development
Of course, while China is nothing like a global football power today, that could change in the years to come. If you are looking to really make a home for yourself here, you’ll have to get used to working with and developing the domestic talent as you have limits as to how many foreign stars can play at any one time.
Try to keep that in mind, as the domestic development is often as big a part of this kind of save as winning titles is. It’s an inventive, fun, high-pressure role that you should absolutely relish taking on, though!
