Here are Sanabria's stats upon starting a new game:
Not bad, not bad at all. His Finishing is rated at 15, his First Touch 17, and his Technique 16. Unfortunately, he seems to be struggling slightly in the Physical area. At 5'11" we're not expecting him to be strong but, with Pace at just 12 and Acceleration at 14, he'll need to speed up. Composure is another key stat we need to look at when signing a striker and, with a rating of between 10-13, Sanabria needs to make a marked improvement if he's to reach his full potential.
So, 3 seasons into Career Mode, have those key areas got any better?
The answer is a resounding yes. Pace and Acceleration have bumped up to 14 and 16 respectively and, while his Finishing has remained the same, his Composure has increased no end, now sitting at a respectable 15.
As you can see, Sanabria is now rated at around £9.75 million, so you're best bidding early if you want him in your team. I signed the Paraguayan on-loan with a view to a permanent £7 million move during my second season and he hasn't looked back since.
Best employed as a Poacher, Sanabria is suited to playing with another striker, however, the few times I've had to use him as the sole forward man, he's done okay.
In my current season, Sanabria has played 10 games scoring 8 goals; well on target to reach 15-20 over the course of the campaign. In the previous season he played 33 games, scoring 19 goals.
Final Verdict
If you're a West Ham, Everton or Sevilla, get him in your first team. If you're a Chelsea, Man City or Atletico, he's a very, very good substitute.
