Bolton Wanderers.
Looking for a new team to try out in Football Manager 2022? Then we have broken down a list of the thirty-three best clubs to manage in Football Manager 2022. To help you find the best games to enjoy and the most gratifying experiences, be sure to try some – or all – of these clubs. Each stand at various points in the football pantheon, offering different experiences and ideas from one another. In this article, we will look at managing Bolton Wanderers today.
What is Bolton Wanderers’s history?
That aside, the Trotters have won the FA three times, though the last came in 1958. They are a club with a strong and proud history, though recent years have seen the team fall into disrepair, financial disrepute, and even administration. Turning around this proud local club is a huge challenge for any manager in FM22.
What is Bolton Wanderers’s objectives and finances?
The main objective is to try and get out of League One as soon as you can. The team came third in the 20-21 season, so you should have enough talent to build on that and at least get into the play-offs. If you are not promoted by 2023, you will be starting a new save. Fans expect you to put together a team that can attack and can win, at least in the third tier.
Finance is the big issue, and sadly you have next to nothing to spend here. The club is in an awful state financially, and even most players whom you bring in will be on short-term deals. Everything is built around getting through the next fixture until the club can find its financial footing once again.
Who are the best players at Bolton Wanderers?
Declan John is a good player at third-tier level and should give you a pacey left-back to use as a more attack-minded option. Josh Sheehan is another Welsh player who could do a job in midfield, while Eoin Doyle is your best striker aside from Kachunga.
Antoni Sarcevic, your captain, is an interesting midfielder, and alongside Lloyd Isgrove could be a key part of building a team that can score goals at League One level. There is a lot of work to be done here, and no shortage of holes to fill in this team, but you have enough of a foundation to get into the playoffs and take it from there. Miss the top six, though, and you are probably sacked.
