These 2 ex-Arsenal free transfers could fire you into the Champions League. Football Manager free transfers.
The free transfer market can be a very unforgiving place - I can't count the number of times I've signed-up an ageing/unnecessary/downright rubbish player simply because he's out of contract - however, when used wisely, it can make the difference between relegation and survival, play-offs and promotion, even Europa League and Champions League.
For those of you playing as a Premier League club - particularly the likes of West Ham, Everton, Stoke, Southampton and West Brom - these two ex-Arsenal stars have the abilities to fire you far beyond the limits of your start of season expectations.
Andrey Arshavin, Age 34
The Russian attacker - famed for scoring 4 goals in one game against Liverpool at Anfield - may not have the pace that he used too, nevertheless, with strong stats in categories like Finishing, Decisions, Flair, Vision and Off the Ball, he still has the guile to unlock the strongest of defences.
Julio Baptista, Age 33
The man known as 'The Beast' has not lost any of the attributes that earned him his nickname. With ratings of 17 for Strength and Balance, and 16 for Finishing and Bravery, Baptista is an excellent battering ram when using the All-Out-Attack approach. His lack of stamina is a big issue, so my advice is to save him for those occasions when you're chasing a game, throw him on with around 25 minutes left on the clock and let the chaos ensue.
That's all from me for now, thanks for reading and, until next time, enjoy playing FM 2016!
