UEFA Champions League Matchday 6: Picks and Predictions

The pinnacle of European club football, UEFA Champions League, has come to the final group stage games in its match-day 6. We know a fair number of clubs that will continue their journey in this prestigious competition, but there are still few mouthwatering match-ups left.

Let's take a look at the most interesting matches that await us on Tuesday and Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League and Best Betting Offers that we could place on them.

Benfica vs Napoli (Tuesday, Group B)

Coming into the final matches of the group stage, Benfica, Napoli and Besiktas all have a chance of capturing the top spot, and neither are guaranteed qualification to the last sixteen of the UCL. Napoli only needs a draw out of this fixture as they hold an advantage in a head to head results. Besiktas will play last-placed Dynamo Kiev and need a win against the Ukrainian side to proceed further.

This certainly is the standout fixture of the match-day 6. Benfica is coming into this match after a disappointing loss against Maritimo 2-1 in the Portuguese Primeira League, which is their first loss in the competition. They will have to pick themselves up quickly if they want to get anything out of this last group fixture.

However, Benfica's overall form looks promising, as they won eight, drawn three and lost one game in their last 12 outings across all competitions. Even more impressive is the fact that they won last 6 games on home soil and have yet to record a loss on Estádio da Luz this season. Their last home defeat was back in February and also they've scored 17 goals and conceded none in last five home games.

On the other hand, Napoli started this season's campaign very well, but since the injury of Arkadiusz Milik in October the team struggled in form. They have won just four of their 11 matches and drawn four of their last six since the injury of the Polish striker.

Benfica are favourites between the two, as they have home advantage and find themselves in better current form. Napoli will need only a draw in this match, so we can expect from Benfica to attack right from the start. Best bet on this match is Benfica to win it with the odds of 31/20.

Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund (Wednesday, Group F)

Real Madrid is still unbeaten in all competitions this season and managed to avoid first one at Camp Nou against their fiercest rivals Barcelona in the 90th minute with Sergio Ramos's equaliser. They are top of La Liga with six points ahead of Barca. Now they'll need to turn all their attention to the UCL, where they are 2nd placed in the group but with a win against BvB will see them top the group. They are currently two points adrift of the German side.

They've drawn last game in the Champions League against Legia Warsaw, which is the second draw in their last 12 outings alongside with ten wins. Their current unbeaten record stretches back to April, having won 25 of their 33 matches since then. What's even more impressive is their home record, they've won 16 of their 18 matches on Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Last defeat they faced at home soil came back in February.

Borussia Dortmund bounced back from their away defeat to Eintracht with an impressive win against Borussia Monchengladbach 4-1. They now have five wins out of their last six outings. However, their away form is not so impressive, where they managed only four wins from last eight outings, during which they've conceded 12 goals. This won't be encouraging fact as they are now facing Real Madrid side who've scored 18 goals in last five home games.

Borussia needs only a draw to finish top of the group so we can expect from them a defensive approach to this game. However, Borussia doesn't know how to defend as they only kept one clean sheet this season. Real Madrid also has just one clean sheet this season, so both teams to score seems like the best bet for this game with the odds of 4/9.
