Premier League Match-day 13: Picks and Predictions

Premier League title race has never been so tight and it all continues on weekend with some great fixtures. Most interesting of all will surely be the clash between Chelsea and Tottenham on Saturday.

Current league leaders Chelsea are set to host the only unbeaten team in the league, Tottenham, which will be the highlight fixture played on Saturday. Manchester City will have a tricky trip to Burnley, whilst other title contender Liverpool will host Sunderland, fixture where is expected that Reds get back on track with their winning ways. On Sunday there's also one interesting match-up between fourth placed Arsenal against all odds-deifying team, Bournemouth.

Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Since Antonio Conte changed formation to 4-3-3 Chelsea's performances where nothing less than magnificent. They haven't conceded in their last 6 outings, but more importantly they are playing with flair and simply dominating their opponents. The whole team has gelled nicely under the Italian manager and the likes of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard are back to their best form yet again. They hold second place in most scored and less conceded goals in the league.

On the other hand, Pochettino's side is in a bit of a crisis. Yesterday's loss against Monaco has seen them exit the Champions League and surely there will be some warning signs raised after that display. Alongside to this poor performance in Europe, their form in the Premier League has been unconvincing as well. They managed only one win in their last 5 matches, with the rest being draws. They are still the only unbeaten team in the league and have conceded only 8 goals so far, but I'm afraid that this won't be enough to stop in-form Chelsea.

Betting Sites have made the Blues hot favourites to win this, and with no mid-week fixture and fresh legs at Antonio Conte's disposal I can't see any other possible outcome but for them to win this match.

Arsenal vs. Bournemouth

Bournemouth are so far performing against all expectations and find themselves in 10th position. After three games without a win, they finally snatched one against Stoke in their last outing and look on course to reach the magical 40-point mark. However, now they are facing one of the title contenders and will have to up their game in means of discipline and work-rate to stand any chance in this match. Their best performer, Jack Wilshere, will probably not participate in this match due to his loan agreement with Arsenal.

Arsenal have drawn three out of their last 5 games in the league and will need to work hard to find their killer instinct yet again if they are to challenge for Wenger's first Premier League title since 2004. Certainly the mid-week Champions League clash with PSG will leave a mark on players fitness and to avoid a burn-out of their prize possession, the Chilean Alexis Sanchez, Wenger will probably leave him on the sidelines. This will give chance to Oliver Giroud to start the match.

Whoever starts up-front for Arsenal I can see them wearing out Bournemouth at home soil as they posses enough firepower. Nothing but a home win for Arsenal is possible in this match.
