Manchester United woes continue under Jose Mourinho

First quarter of the Premiership is behind us and there is no sign on the horizon of the better days for the fallen Manchester giant. Jose Mourinho is not enjoying his life at United so far, and just a miserable draw against Burnley this week at home soil goes just to prove how things are falling apart for the Portuguese manager.

Let's take a closer look to what are the reasons of Mourinho failing to do any better than his predecessors at the helm of Manchester United post Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Wayne Rooney failing big time. Take one for the team or play it cool phrase could be best used for the current situation for England's all time goal scorer. Rooney is yet to find his best form under Jose Mourinho, but it looks already that this just might not happen anytime soon. Current gaffer benched his most paid player due to lack of any real contribution to the team, and he had every right to do so. It looks that Rooney has passed his peak and really has done nothing this season to back his high paycheck. More and more football pundits are taking a stab at Rooney and he might find better luck at Royal Vegas Online Casino than at the football pitch at the current time.

The curios case of Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is yet to prove on the pitch the highest transfer fee ever paid by United this summer transfer window. You would expect that Pogba will bring points on his own for the club, but the former Juventus player is nowhere near his best form from the past season. There could be a number of reasons to why this is so. Number one, simply put it – he is not as good as everyone thought. Number two, he's feeling the pressure of the world breaking transfer fee paid for him. Let's be honest, even Messi or Ronaldo would feel the pressure to produce under such a burden and they are living legends of the sport. Pogba is only 23 and he must be feeling the pressure to prove himself on the pitch. Number three, Pogba was good in Juventus due to having world class players around him. Players such as; Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio that gave him the freedom to play his own game, United has nowhere near as good players like the trio mentioned here.

One more reason to United dreadful form this season, and the biggest in mine opinion, is Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese is living on his former fame and is very well of his prime. His tactics are outdated. Sure his current tactical instructions when he parks the bus worked well back when he introduced them, but modern football now is all about free-flowing direct style of play, rather than his boring counter attacking football. Another reason why I think that Mou is the main reason for Man United failing to produce any result this season is that Mourinho lacks bravery. He's cowardly hiding behind his players poor performances when he should man up and take the blame for poor form on himself. No player in the world likes to be accused time and time again for poor match preparation and tactics set by his manager, and that's what Mourinho was doing at Chelsea and now at United.

Where is big money signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan? Playing at Royal Vegas online casino was last time anyone heard of Mikhi. Jokes aside, former Borussia player is yet another big signing Mourinho made this summer that is not even playing, yet alone performing this season. Will he be yet another great player that was destroyed by big Portuguese ego is yet to be seen.

All in all, Manchester fans should prepare themselves for another trophy-less season, but what will hurt them more than no trophies this season is the fact that their biggest rivals, Manchester City, are performing well under Pep Guardiola and are currently top of the Premier League.
