The FM 2016 Editor is a powerful editing tool that allows you to modify the FM16 database. For optimal performance it is recommended that you use the FM2016 Editor on a high-end machine with at least 2GB RAM or more.
Due to the massive amount of data stored in the Football Manager database you may experience poor or slow performance on low-end systems.
It is really simple to install the official editor, just follow these two steps:
Please Make Sure you have downloaded Football Manager 2016 before downloading the editor. You need to download it separately through Steam. It can be found in the Tools section within Steam.
Open Steam > Library > Tools > Football Manager 2016 Editor

Once you found it double click and it should bring up a pop-up window for installation. Here you can change the installation path and should it install or not desktop and start menu shortcut.
As you can see from the picture below, size of the file is 172 MB, make sure you have enough space available at the location where you're about to install the software.

To find out more about editing, I advise you to visit the Editors Hideaway at Sports Interactive forums. There's plenty of threads on how to edit player/staff/competition/club and other stuff for Football Manger 2016 and you'll get plenty of quality help from the community there.
