For the first time with Football Manager, we have been introduced with Steam Workshop, and for the very first time you’ll need to download official dark skin through it, we’ll show you how.
Here’s a quick tutorial on how to install your copy of the official Dark Skin for FM 2014 via Steam Workshop. Just follow the steps below, and you’ll be good on your way.
First you’ll need to subscribe to the official Dark Skin via Steam Workshop, so start you Steam client.
Click on ‘+ Subscribe’ button
This is it, Steam part of the tutorial is over. Now we’ll move to the second part of the tutorial.
Now you’ll need to start you FM 2014. Once loaded, on the games home screen click on ‘Downloads’ button that is in your lower left corner of the screen. A pop-up will open that contains ‘Store’ and ‘Steam Workshop’ menus.
Click on ‘Steam Workshop’ > thick ‘Official FM14 Dark Skin > hit ‘Install’
NOTE: If your game suddenly freezes once you’ve clicked ‘Steam Workshop’ button, then you must do the following:
Move C: \ Users \ <username> \ Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2014 \ graphics folder > to desktop > go into FM and install the Dark Skin > and move the ‘Graphics’ folder back after.
This will now install Official FM14 Dark Skin on your hard. Now to change to dark skin proceed to next step.
Go to ‘Preferences’ > ‘Interface’ > chose ‘Football Manager Dark’ > hit ‘Confirm’
This will now enable Official FM14 Dark Skin in your game. This skin is for use with Football Manager mode only and cannot be used with Classic mode.
