8th edition of #featureroulette has come to an end, and as always, here is the round up of all the features announced today for Football Manager 2014.
As we said in previous posts, but for anyone who missed them, feature roulette is set by Sports Interactive via their twitter account, where their followers randomly pick a number from 1-1000, and and they’ll pick one & tease the corresponding feature.
FM14 Features (29.8.2013.)
Request fixture rearrange or postponement if multiple players are called up for international duty.
One of the most anticipated features, and also one of the most requested, ‘Rearrange or postpone an upcoming fixture’. This one was in old Championship Manager, but was almost never granted when requested. Let’s hope things will be different this time.
Conditional loan repayments such as "repayable on Promotion to top division".
This one adds even more realism to FM. This was always a possibility in real world, but never on FM.
Preview news item on next round of league fixtures.
Not a big one and we’re not quite sure how will it work, but our best guess is that it will be something similar to what we have now, a complete summary after the league round has been played. Only this one will happen before the round is played, obviously.
Ability in training calendar to split days into Rest and Match Preparation.
We didn’t get the old training system back, but it’s nice to see that at least there has been added some extra depth to the current training system. Nice little addition, but nothing major.
Your team is already picked for you when taking over a club in FMC.
Can’t really say what to make of this one, it does raise some questions about it. What did they mean with it, well, we’ll have to wait and see. This one is truly a teaser.
Training camp shown on training calendar.
It’s fairly a useful feature, cause on FM13 you didn’t have an option and didn’t know when are you going and returning from your training camp. So yeah, also a nice addition to FM14.
Press conference question on new chairman after a takeover.
The feature says it all, new press conference questions added after your team completes a takeover, and more specifically, they’re related to new chairman at your club.
