Athletic Bilbao Career | part 2

Athletic Bilbao Career

In last post I talk some bit about my board expectations and media predictions and also a little bit about my staff members, if you’d like read the entire post here ~ Athletic Bilbao career starts

So after few days of hard work, and looking a lot of potential good staff I finally hired people I find adequate to help me… I based my search to unemployed staff as I did not want to spend money for high fees for them…

So this is how my backroom staff looks like
Assistant manager Tony Coton – I trust him enough he does not demand a lot of money, and I hire him a lot in my careers he is great in judging player abilities so I can trust him on second opinion about my players, and good at man management, motivation and discipline. That is enough for me..

Others are as you can see here in the picture, they all have ability to be great coaches in their primary training schedules.

One of the staff is missing, it is Otto Baric, who has great tactical knowledge 20, and he will be great addition to my staff, and he is missing as I accidentally pressed delay transfer for a week instead of accept… I hope that this will be my biggest mistake in Bilbao career…

Now after I hired all staff I decided to work on training schedules. I must say that throughout my whole football manager career I always used very hard training methods. Throughout first month or two players tend to be unhappy about it, but I noticed that if I manage to secure few good results in first couple of weeks, with good training facilities they get used to my methods. One thing is that with very hard training methods I do not have major problems with injuries throughout season because I am focusing my schedules a lot on strength and aerobic training. But enough said… Time will be the judge if my methods are good for those Basques…

This is how my training schedules looks like.
I divided it in several groups:

1. Goalkeepers
goalkeeper training schedule

2. Full Backs
full backs training schedule

3. Central defenders
central defenders training schedule

4. Defensive midfielders
defensive midfielders training schedule

5. Central midfielders
midfielders training schedule

6. Attacking midfielders
attacking midfielders training schedule

7. Wide midfielders/wingers
midfilders / wingers training schedule

8. Attackers
Attackers training schedule

As you can see grades for training categories are good enough, and when mister Baric joins my club he will be assigned to tactics, so Coton who now has two categories GK handling and tactics will work only on GK handling so every category will have 4 or 5 stars…

Happines with training

Now I am starting to analyze my players, and trying to decide what tactic to play…

Do you have any good ideas what tactic I should play?
